wingwave Coaching Congress 2023

wingwave and Future Resilience

On the first weekend of November, the international wingwave Coaching Congress for trained wingwave coaches will once again take place at the Hotel Hafen Hamburg from 04-05.11.2023:

In 2023, the Congress will be dedicated to the consolidation topic "wingwave and Future Resilience"! More and more people do not feel resourceful enough when they think about their individual future and the future of the world we live in. At this wingwave congress we will deal with coaching tools for an emotionally supportive future-resilience of our clients - in thinking, feeling and behaviour. And we will provide mental ideas for stabilising future self-management.

Resilience expert Raffael Kalisch will give us an exciting introductory talk on the topic. He is a professor of human brain imaging and a founding member of the "Leibniz Institute for Resilience" (LIR) at the University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.

Doomscrolling - the end of the world with a mouse click

The news media compete for our attention: hyperactive and in real time, they deliver headlines and images on all crises and catastrophes worldwide. Uncertainty, restlessness and fears are awakened in people. To relieve these tensions, news is checked even more frequently - which in turn leads to even more stress. This sometimes creates a vicious circle called doomscrolling (doom means the end of the world, scrolling refers to the finger movements on the touchscreen). What does research know about the effects on our mental health? How can we better manage our media behaviour?

Elke Hartmann-Wolff will get to the bottom of these questions and more in a second lecture. She is an editor at the magazine "Psychologie Heute" and a wingwave coach. She looks back on many years of experience in news journalism.

Here are some programme items:

  • News and media resilience
  • Environmental psychology: research, behaviour, nature
  • Change-Psychology
  • Multi-generation-Consciousness
  • Health and resourceful "Aging"
  • Euthyme behavioural planning: "planting" resources in the future
  • Media consumption and "doomscrolling" - media stress through the influence of "doomsday" news
  • Embodiment research on confidence and positive motivation
  • Mental "future fitness" through Kōan wisdom from Zen Buddhism

Due to the positive feedback of the last years, this wingwave coaching congress will again take place in the Hotel Hafen Hamburg with the wonderful view of the Elbe and will be broadcast online. This year we will again go into smaller group work, learn with and from each other, exchange ideas and experiences in order to further internalise the in-depth topic of "Future Resilience"! It really always worked out to be close to each other, according to the wingwave motto "Being in Touch". Even though many participants took part online and we were a somewhat smaller group on site than in 2020, we all felt mentally "in touch" with each other, including hybrid participants, over the last three years!

The speakers and trainers, as well as many wingwave coaches, will travel "live" and be filmed by a professional camera team - so some wingwave coaches will stay at home, but will be in Hamburg with us at the same time!

In 2023 we will again be holding the congress in a two-day programme including an in-depth seminar and focusing on the topic of "future resilience". Among other things, we will again be working in smaller groups, learning with and from each other, and exchanging ideas in order to further internalise the in-depth topic of "Future Resilience"!
